“Wonderful Stay at La Rochelle on Water Island
I stayed at La Rochelle for 7 nights in October and had a fantastic experience. The house had all the amenities I needed and the bed was extremely comfortable. The AC worked perfectly at night, though I rarely used it during the day because I enjoyed soaking in the island warmth.
You do need to rent a golf cart to get around, but I actually loved that, no big vehicles and a fun, easy way to explore the island. The ferry runs every hour on the hour, and there’s a decent grocery store just a 5-minute walk from the ferry dock. From the airport, the taxi ride to the ferry is quick, about 10 minutes.
Vacationing on a small island does take a bit more planning, but the payoff is was worth the effort. It was peaceful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. The beach was beautiful with clear, warm water and no seaweed during my stay. It was not crowded and the locals I did meet were very friendly.
Overall this was a wonderful stay, calm, comfortable, and a perfect place to reconnect with your partner or family. I plan to return.”

Such an absolutely amazing place to stay!! Hosts went above and beyond any help we needed and went above and beyond for us! Made us feel welcomed and special and felt the love of this treasure tiny island! Doug helped us with luggage to and from the dock so we could maximize our time on the beach there and took away any stresses we had! Went there with our family plus grandparents and celebrated my Uncle’s birthday in his favorite place on earth before passed. Now we know why he treasured this place🥰. Thank you for making such a special memory for my family to share. Also, sunset and moonrise from the patio with a drink, you can’t beat at this place!

Stunning sunrise and sunset views from the beautiful deck. We really enjoyed our stay. Appreciated the helpful tips, chairs, and beach supplies. We look forward to returning!

Made a last minute booking and La Rochelle stepped up and did awesome! Great communication, check in from the docks, and amenities met! Water island is a great private getaway from the hustle and bustle of the typical Caribbean! We went during busy Christmas week and it felt like our peaceful, warm sunny home!

Very much enjoyed staying in this house on Water Island. They everything you need to stay here, including beach chairs, pool noodles, beach towels, coolers, etc. The house is freshly remodeled and on the breezy side of the island. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying on Water Island. The host were great with communication and getting to and from the ferry with all your luggage.
