“Wonderful Stay at La Rochelle on Water Island
I stayed at La Rochelle for 7 nights in October and had a fantastic experience. The house had all the amenities I needed and the bed was extremely comfortable. The AC worked perfectly at night, though I rarely used it during the day because I enjoyed soaking in the island warmth.
You do need to rent a golf cart to get around, but I actually loved that, no big vehicles and a fun, easy way to explore the island. The ferry runs every hour on the hour, and there’s a decent grocery store just a 5-minute walk from the ferry dock. From the airport, the taxi ride to the ferry is quick, about 10 minutes.
Vacationing on a small island does take a bit more planning, but the payoff is was worth the effort. It was peaceful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. The beach was beautiful with clear, warm water and no seaweed during my stay. It was not crowded and the locals I did meet were very friendly.
Overall this was a wonderful stay, calm, comfortable, and a perfect place to reconnect with your partner or family. I plan to return.”

Such an absolutely amazing place to stay!! Hosts went above and beyond any help we needed and went above and beyond for us! Made us feel welcomed and special and felt the love of this treasure tiny island! Doug helped us with luggage to and from the dock so we could maximize our time on the beach there and took away any stresses we had! Went there with our family plus grandparents and celebrated my Uncle’s birthday in his favorite place on earth before passed. Now we know why he treasured this place🥰. Thank you for making such a special memory for my family to share. Also, sunset and moonrise from the patio with a drink, you can’t beat at this place!

Made a last minute booking and La Rochelle stepped up and did awesome! Great communication, check in from the docks, and amenities met! Water island is a great private getaway from the hustle and bustle of the typical Caribbean! We went during busy Christmas week and it felt like our peaceful, warm sunny home!

Very much enjoyed staying in this house on Water Island. They everything you need to stay here, including beach chairs, pool noodles, beach towels, coolers, etc. The house is freshly remodeled and on the breezy side of the island. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying on Water Island. The host were great with communication and getting to and from the ferry with all your luggage.

What a special place for our family to spend winter break. Robin was the ultimate host so communicative, proactive, and thoughtful. He sent a detailed guest guide ahead of our arrival and answered every question quickly and thoroughly. The property itself is stunning, with sweeping ocean views and a serene, quiet deck that quickly became our favorite spot. We truly felt transported to another world. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms had everything we needed, and the kitchen was fully stocked so we could easily prepare meals at home. Water Island is such a unique and peaceful escape, and it is absolutely a place we will return to. I highly recommend this home to anyone seeking a beautiful, restorative getaway near the sea.

We loved our stay. Robin was welcoming and responsive. He helped with suggestions ahead of our arrival (where to rent a golf cart, logistics for my older parents). He met us at the dock at Water Island to help transport luggage and make sure we found the house easily. The house is a sweet, clean, and cozy beach cottage with ocean views from both sides. There were 4 adults and 2 kids, and we fit just fine. We loved having dinner on the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare multiple meals. The house is easily walkable to the Crossing and Honeymoon and Limestone beaches. Our dinner at Heidi’s (a recommendation from Robin) was one of the best meals I’ve had. The house had everything we needed for the beach (pool noodles, chairs, beach towels). Coming from Colorado, we know how precious water is. It was nice to be in a place that also respects and conserves (e.g., water conserving dishwasher, shower heads). We hope to come back again soon.

We had the pleasure to stay at Robin's home in Water Island, USVI for a few days. Robin was an excellent host making sure we had everything we needed. He picked us up at the ferry, helped me when I had golf cart trouble, and even staked out a palapa at the beach early in the morning so that we could sleep in a little. I've never met a nicer host. The house is private, beautiful, comfy with gorgeous views and has everything you'll need. Water Island was the perfect place to wind down after a week of sailing. The beach is pristine, Heidi's and Dinghy's both serve delicious food and drinks, and everyone is super friendly on the island. There's even an old fort that is being restored with the most amazing views. It was truly a wonderful experience.
